Will there be a result of the 2020 US election on November 3rd (local time)?
Much speaks against it, but US President Donald Trump continues to insist - and criticizes any decision against it.
Donald Trump
criticizes the Supreme Court for its vote counting decision in Pennsylvania.
The election officer in this
US state
is under enormous pressure in the 2020 US election.
Another
swing state
could be the harbinger of the election outcome.
Scranton / Pennsylvania
- US President
Donald Trump
once again lets his anger run free on Twitter.
It's the
postal vote
that upsets him again.
In a tweet, he refers to a decision by the
Supreme Court
last week.
The judges rejected a motion from
Republicans
and decided that in the state of Pennsylvania ballot papers could be counted for up to three days after the Tuesday election - provided there was no evidence that the papers were sent after the polls closed.
Trump described the decision as "VERY dangerous".
It will "
enable
rampant and uncontrolled
cheating
".
In addition, the judgment will "
trigger
violence
on the streets".
A short time after its publication, Twitter provided the tweet with a
notice
that some content was controversial and possibly misleading.
It's not the first time that Twitter has tagged a message from Donald Trump with such information.
This means that other users can no longer share the tweet without their own message.
Like the
New York Times
, citing analysis
of
Election Integrity Partnership, an association of researchers on the subject of misinformation, reported that the
spread of the news
has then weakened considerably.
The message was first shared 827 times per minute, after being marked only 151 times per minute.
The Supreme Court decision on voting in Pennsylvania is a VERY dangerous one.
It will allow rampant and unchecked cheating and will undermine our entire systems of laws.
It will also induce violence in the streets.
Something must be done!

2020 US election: how long will it take to count all votes?
Donald Trump repeatedly emphasizes that, in his eyes, the election
should end with a result
on
November 3rd
(local time).
Due to the high number of postal voters due to the
corona pandemic
, however, a later announcement of the final result is to be expected.
The
Erie County's
election supervisor
has been
sorting
letters for days and hiring more staff to be able to count all votes.
As the
Spiegel
(article behind the payment barrier) shows in a report, he is under enormous pressure to do everything quickly, but at the same time without errors.
In
Pennsylvania
, unlike in other states, letters could not be opened until the morning of election day.
While Trump is heavily criticizing the decisions of the courts, his wife
Melania Trump has a
completely different tone.
During a campaign appearance in Huntersville, North Carolina, she said she and her husband had confidence in the judges and the legal system of the United States.
In addition, she expressed her
trust
in the doctors, nurses and scientists working on the coronavirus pandemic.
Such statements are rarely heard from Donald Trump, who rather
ignores
advice from infection experts such as the renowned immunologist
Anthony Fauci
.
US election 2020: Swing states like Pennsylvania or Ohio are decisive for the choice
According to the latest poll results from
270toWin
, Democratic challenger
Joe Biden
is
ahead
in the highly competitive
swing state of
Pennsylvania with 49 percent to 46 percent.
Both candidates appeared in the US state on Monday, Joe Biden even paid his supporters a visit there on election day and encouraged them: “We
choose hope instead of fear.
We choose the truth over lies.
We choose science over fiction, ”he called into a megaphone.
The Democrat was born in
Scranton
, a town in Pennsylvania that Biden revisited on election day morning.
In addition to Pennsylvania, it is also worth taking a close look at the state of
Ohio
when
looking at the forecasts and results
.
There, according to surveys, Trump leads extremely narrowly with 48 percent to 47 percent, whereby possible errors through surveys should always be considered.
An unwritten law for the state: Whoever wins Ohio wins the US election.
If you look back over the past six decades, this thesis was at least true.
Ohio sends 18 out of 538 voters to
Electoral College
.
In the state, polling stations close at 1.30 a.m. CET.
