The participants recommended, at the conclusion of the tenth general conference of the Revolutionary Youth Union, to find an appropriate formula to organize the youth movement at the national level, with the aim of uniting efforts, employing the energies of young people, paying attention to their issues, organizing the management of their activities, developing their capabilities, and activating their participation in society.
The participants in the three-day conference held in the Sahara Complex in the countryside of Damascus called for work to strengthen the intellectual and organizational structure of the federation, spread the culture of democratic practice, continue to develop federal councils and conferences, develop a plan for expansion of youth units in neighborhoods and develop supervision mechanisms and field participation of chain leaders in the programs and activities of their institutions .
The participants pointed out the importance of completing a scientific study of internal and external variables and their effects on the young generation in light of the challenges of extremist ideology and the culture of globalization, working on developing integrated approaches to immunize the younger generation, protecting the national and national identity, and investing all methods of preparation and education based on the method of dialogue and the investment of electronic communication sites in that.
The participants also called for the adoption of a continuous rehabilitation and training program that works to raise the efficiency of the leadership cadre, qualify them and provide them with basic skills, focus on the distinguished in various fields, and work to establish a culture of dialogue as a basic principle by dealing with young people in all events and diversifying activities to meet their orientations and interests.
They stressed the need to work to enhance the values of active citizenship and focus on spreading the culture of volunteering, volunteer work and expansion in addition to social care in the organization’s programs and increasing the necessary financial funds for them, as well as the need to move towards more networking and partnership with civil society organizations and state ministries and institutions and increase the incentives that attract youth.
The participants also called for developing the work formula for the Directorate of Extracurricular Activities in the Ministry of Education and Labor to build youth centers and cities according to a geographical map that covers the largest area of the governorates, developing the work of the Organization's Youth Research Center and working to find permanent camp centers covering the geographical distribution and equipping them with all requirements and tools and expanding the creation of clubs Youth for Science and Informatics throughout the organization’s work space, developing the organization’s relations with Arab and international youth organizations, unions and bodies, expanding by signing joint cooperation agreements, reactivating work according to the contents of the agreements that have been suspended due to the war that Syria is facing, and the establishment of Arab youth camps, especially with neighboring countries.
The participants called for re-studying and defining the legal status of the Scouts of Syria and its legal personality in order to achieve better conditions for the scouts to work with their privacy and ensure the preservation of national constants, noting the need to work to unify the visual identity of all the headquarters of the organization and to follow up the restoration of the headquarters destroyed by terrorist organizations and to amend some provisions of the financial system of the organization in line with The current stage and the direction of the organization’s plans and the confirmation of the proposal to establish a youth projects support body and grant it authority and put in place mechanisms for investment in lands and facilities of the organization.
The conference sessions witnessed the election of a new Central Council of the Union, numbering 81 members, for the next five years, to be later elected 9 of them members of the leadership of the Union.
The work of the conference was launched yesterday under the title “The Youth: The Spirit of Victory and Redemption ... The Hands of Work and Building.” During which the participants discussed the reports submitted by the Federation’s branches and associations in the intellectual, political and organizational fields, the management of financial resources and establishments, in addition to issues related to educational and sports activities, volunteer work, the environment and technical activities Cultural, Media and Informatics.
