The debates on the state of emergency must resume at 3:00 p.m. at the Palais Bourbon, after an evening during which the oppositions succeeded in passing an amendment putting its deadline on December 14, and another providing that the confinement decreed to leave of October 30 can be renewed beyond November 30 only after agreement of Parliament.
During these agitated debates, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran unsheathed the weapon of “
voting reserves
” on the remaining amendments and articles, which postpones the ballots when the government chooses it.
Two procedures are now available to the government: a new deliberation on these two amendments, or a blocked vote on the text.

The government has no shortage of weapons
" to restore the text in the direction it wishes, notes a parliamentary source.
He could "

".
The president of the Law Commission, Yaël Braun-Pivet, estimated Wednesday that the final adoption of the text, scheduled for Friday after examination by the Senate Thursday, could suffer a one-day setback due to these adventures.
"
It's a fairly devastating but fairly natural domino effect
," she said during a meeting of her committee, counting on a final reading on Saturday.
A conference of presidents of the Assembly, which sets the agenda, is scheduled for 2 p.m. and could validate this probable postponement to Saturday, according to parliamentary sources.
