The Higher Education Council agreed to settle the conditions of undergraduate students benefiting from the provisions of Article (103) of the executive regulations of the Universities Organization Law who took exams for the second semester of the 2019-2020 academic year without registration, provided that they pay the required fees within a date no later than 12-24-2020 .

In its decision, which SANA received a copy of today, the council called on university administrations not to allow any student to sit for the exams for the 2020-2021 academic year unless he was registered and paid the fees.

In another decision, the council agreed to justify the absence of undergraduate students registered under courses from outside the university and students benefiting from the provisions of the same article of the executive regulations of the Universities Organization Law who registered in the second semester of the 2019-2020 academic year and were unable to submit their exams, and this semester is not considered. Of the terms owed to them.

The council allowed the student registered at the university in the second semester of the 2019-2020 academic year in accordance with the provisions of Article 103 for a similar transfer at the beginning of the 2020-2021 academic year in accordance with the provisions of the similar transfer “whether he applied for exams or not progressed or his registration was stopped.”

It also allowed students registered in the academic year 2020-2021 for the first time in accordance with the provisions of Article (103) for a similar transfer after a year has passed in accordance with the provisions for similar transfer, "whether he submitted for exams or not, or his registration was suspended."

In another decision, it agreed to extend the period of student registration in a year of courses at the postgraduate level “master's degree” to before the start of the examination period for students admitted in the 2019-2020 academic year and students benefiting from the provisions of Higher Education Council Resolution No. (256) for the year 2020 as well as Taking into account that the student fulfills the conditions for applying for the examination.

According to the decision, students who completed the course year in the 2018-2019 academic year are granted a grace period to complete the registration procedures for the thesis stage until 12-15-2020.

In another decision, the Higher Education Council agreed to treat the children of Syrian women residing in Syria married to non-Syrians, or those with a Syrian general high school diploma, the treatment of Syrian students in terms of paying fees in Syrian private universities, provided that the student had studied the basic education stage. The second “and the secondary stage in Syria and that the mother’s nationality is a Syrian Arab and residing in the Syrian Arab Republic during her son’s study“ according to a residence document ”.
