In 2020, the "Times Higher Education Global Reputation Rankings" increased from 100 in the past to 200, and the countries or places from which the universities included in the ranking came from were also increased from 19 last year to 30.

The University of Tokyo ranks among the top ten only Asian universities

Top 20 in the world by Tsinghua University and Peking University
In terms of university rankings in Asia, the University of Tokyo in Japan ranks the highest, followed by China's Tsinghua University (global ranking 13) and Peking University (global ranking 16).
The fourth to seventh in Asia are Kyoto University (global ranking 23), National University of Singapore (global ranking 24), National Taiwan University (global ranking 40) and Seoul University (global ranking 45).
As for Fudan University in Shanghai, the University of Hong Kong, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, they are ranked 51-60 in the world at the same time.
