Engineer Saleh Omran, Director of the Homs Electricity Company, revealed that the judicial police patrols in the company had organized 341 seizures of illegal electricity exploitation in Homs during the third quarter of this year.
In a statement to SANA, Omran indicated that the amount of illegally rented electricity amounted to about 386,000 kilowatt hours.
He said: The police patrols continue their rounds in the residential neighborhoods of the city and the countryside to combat this phenomenon and eliminate it, while it has intensified its patrols to search for and remove violators in the industrial and craft cities, pointing out the negative effects of illegal exploitation in terms of the quality of the electrical current that reaches the citizens and causes it to increase network breakdowns and sudden power outages.
