2020-11-04T11:14:46.599Z

FIGARO MAGAZINE BAROMETER - The confidence rating of the President of the Republic climbs 11 points to stand at 40%.

Produced the day after the televised intervention by the Head of State, before and after the Nice attack, the Kantar barometer for

Le Figaro Magazine

recorded a strong increase in the confidence rating of Emmanuel Macron.

As if part of the French had decided to join forces with the President of the Republic in this troubled period.

This tendency is found in all parties.

If he finds a positive rating among Republican sympathizers (53%, +12), Emmanuel Macron is experiencing his strongest growth among socialist sympathizers (+14, 43%).

Even those of the RN and LFI are more likely to trust him (+12 and +9), although their number remains low (23% and 15%).

Le Figaro

It is not, far from it, national unity.

The progress of the Head of State is far from resembling that of François Hollande after the wave of attacks of 2015. Without doubt the discontent against the re-containment of a part of the population explains this difference.

While exposed ministers are also making progress, overt opponents do not benefit from the period.

The challenge for Emmanuel Macron now: consolidate this increase over time.

What his predecessor failed to do, preventing him from representing himself.

The fall continues for the boss of rebellious France.

While Jean-Luc Mélenchon was in the first four places in the ranking last March, he is now only fourteenth!

More worryingly, the drop is marked on the left, especially among socialist sympathizers (-10).
