Both Twitter and Facebook imposed strict restrictions on claims of winning the US presidential election, whether made by incumbent Republican President Donald Trump or his Democratic rival, Joe Biden.
CNN reported that the two platforms added warning signs to some publications and misleading information published by the two parties regarding the elections, as Facebook issued warnings to both candidates against the background of votes that are still in the counting stage, which are automatically added to Biden and Trump's accounts, amid allegations. The latter won without proof before millions of votes were counted.
