As Americans waited and watched the election results Tuesday night, many looked for ways to ease their anxiety about the 2020 presidential election.
And their priorities were reflected in these Google searches that hit all-time highs Tuesday night, according to Google Trends:

New York Times technology columnist Kevin Roose tweeted about the Ben & Jerry's shortage Tuesday night, saying: "Anxiety index: all Ben and Jerry's freezer in the store is empty."
Dozens of tweets followed in response, showing photos of empty liquor shelves, freezers full of desserts and empty ice cream bowls.
