A disturbing disappearance.
It's been a year since the Guadeloupe actor Djédjé Apali, known for his roles in
Le Gang des Antillais
and
Jeune et Jolie
, disappeared.
He was reportedly last seen in October 2019, Gare de l'Est, in Paris.
Since then, nothing.
Today, due to a lack of evidence, the police in Reims - where Djédjé Apali had lived since 2013 - is calling for witnesses in the regional press and on social networks.
An investigation for a worrying disappearance was opened in July, explains La 1ère, the overseas portal.
But, according to the elder sister of the actor who did not wish to respond to our requests, the first investigations were slow to begin.
“
They hang around and I see the time passing
,” said Joëlle Apali.
August is coming, it drags, it drags, at the same time it is the holidays, we are in the post-Covid era ...
"
"
Something serious
"
Joëlle Apali, who is convinced "
that something serious has happened
" to her brother, then tries to unblock the situation by writing to the prefect.
The investigation takes a leap forward: interrogations, search of his apartment in Reims, verification of the cell phone ... Everything is linked.
"
In one day, the police managed to find out that my brother's cell phone was no longer active since October 2019, that he was no longer limiting
," explains the disappeared's sister.
Today she oscillates between "
relief
" and "
anger
" at having "
lost a lot of time
".

“
We worked on his bank accounts, on the possible use of his credit card.
For the moment, we have no information.
This is why we launched an appeal for witnesses,
”he explains.
Joëlle Apali hopes that the mystery surrounding her disappearance of her brother will be solved.
A brother she describes as "
someone very secretive, but who did not reveal his life
," she recalls.
A silent one
