Under the title “Your Ambition is Excellence,” the National Union of Syrian Students inaugurated this evening on the runway of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Damascus, the University Excellence Forum, with the participation of 97 male and female distinguished students in public universities of various specializations.

The three-day forum aims to shed light on distinguished students and make them positive role models in society, to identify the factors of excellence and highlight the characteristics that accompany it, as well as to identify the challenges faced by the excelling students and methods of overcoming them, and to present exceptional models of excellence that constitute an entrance for many students to not rely on circumstances and consider them. Obstacles and obstacles to work and achievement, in addition to providing appropriate conditions for this category of students, encouraging them and taking care of them to continue their excellence and awakening and encouraging creativity and innovation among students.

Darine Suleiman, President of the National Union of Syrian Students, confirmed in a speech during the opening that the forum comes within the framework of the union's support for the segment of distinguished and outstanding students, honoring them and sponsoring them to pursue their academic achievement, expressing her hope to reach high-level outputs as the participants are the elite of outstanding recipients of the Al-Bassel Prize for Academic Excellence throughout Their undergraduate years, most of them are "master's and doctoral" students, and have research ideas and initiatives that can be used.

In interviews with SANA, Emad Al-Omar, member of the Executive Office of the Federation, pointed to the importance of focusing on excellence as an ethical element that motivates students to study diligence, indicating that the forum will include dialogue sessions to benefit from the students' experience during their university life to assess the educational reality and academic achievement in universities and to develop mechanisms that ensure sustainability The relationship between the union and the outstanding students to follow up on their sponsorship and support their projects.

The two students, Bashar Hussein Jumaa, from the Faculty of Law at Al-Baath University, and Khaled Obeid from the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Damascus University Branch, in Sweida, considered that it allowed the superior segment of students to dialogue and meet with decision-makers and develop future plans related to higher education in addition to being a step to motivate and encourage students to excel and excel.

Student Judy Ibrahim from the Faculty of Petrochemical Engineering at the University of Al-Furat, Deir Ezzor Branch, said that the forum constitutes an honor, a crowning and a valuable conclusion for the end of her university stage, as any student can reach this excellence as long as he possesses ambition and works hard.

From the Faculty of Science “Mathematics Department” at the University of Hama, the student Gemma Morhaf Esper pointed out that success and distinction is a very beautiful thing and an important milestone in life, while the student Intisar Al-Qadi from the Faculty of Education “Psychological Guidance”, Damascus University Branch in Daraa, emphasized the importance of the forum in terms of exchanging experiences with her colleagues in Provincial and considered that the ambition does not stop.

Participants in the forum will discuss, over several sessions, axes that include excellence and creativity, as well as the reciprocal relationship between creativity, scientific research, logistical and technical support related to education technologies, laboratories, education and training supplies, in addition to school curricula, traditional education modalities, teaching methods, training and qualification, and university life in terms of skills, experiences, knowledge and the role of institutions The mediator in caring for excellence and economic empowerment of the outstanding and securing suitable job opportunities for them.
