Against a backdrop of terrorism, France lived under a state of emergency from 2015 to 2017. Derechef with the Covid, a new state of emergency, called "
health
", was created.
Implemented from March 23 to July 10, it is again from October 17, until February 16, 2021. The legal basis on which the government relies to take exceptional health measures, it represents a state of exception derogating from common law and allows the executive power to have fairly free rein with Parliament and Justice while making decisions that affect individual freedoms.
