In the middle of the thickest excursion traffic, a motorcyclist on the Kesselberg gave himself a wild chase with the police.

Kochel am See / Wolfratshausen

- Now the 25-year-old Gröbenzeller had to answer for a prohibited motor vehicle race before the Wolfratshausen district court.

He got away with 80 daily rates of 20 euros each and a five-month ban on driving.

Because of the incident, which started on May 16 at around 1 p.m., a penalty order had been issued.

The man objected to this, which is why the matter was negotiated publicly.

However, the accused was only concerned with the amount of the penalty, he fully admitted the allegations made against him.

Despite the weekend driving ban, the trainee was driving his Suzuki uphill from Kochel towards Walchensee that Saturday.

When the police signaled him to stop, the man sped away, overtaking several vehicles at significantly excessive speed.

Shortly before Urfeld he broke through a checkpoint, overtook another car and shot through the village at 80 to 100 km / h.

Because of the extreme excursion traffic, the police stopped the chase here.

The owner of the “hellish bullet”, as judge Helmut Berger called the machine, which has a top speed of around 260 kilometers per hour, was quickly determined based on the number plate.

He did not want to have any trouble with the police because he was not allowed to drive there, explained lawyer Eckstein, the short-circuit reaction of his client.

"I drove away quickly, in the hope that they wouldn't recognize the license plate," said Gröbenzeller.

The reason is probably his past, which makes a certain panic at unexpected encounters with the police a little understandable.

The young man had served a juvenile sentence of three years and nine months in prison in Landsberg because of severe predatory extortion; he was released in 2018.

Since then he has been working on a "return to a normal life".

In order not to jeopardize these efforts, the defense lawyer pleaded for a shorter blocking period for the driver's license.

Because the employer has already bought a new vehicle that the defendant will be given after completing his training next spring.

The revocation of his driver's license made him "think about what a risky journey it was for others," he said.

In addition, his defense lawyer added that he had already completed a follow-up training course in traffic.

"As long as I do not have the certificate, I will regret this matter," said the defendant.

He can do that for another five months.
