Israel's first official business delegation landed last night (Sunday) in Dubai and will tour it for a week.

This is a delegation of heads of business organizations in Israel with the participation of the Chairman of the Export Institute, Adiv Baruch, the President of the Association of Chambers of Commerce, Adv. Uriel Lin, the President of the Manufacturers' Association and the Chairman Willen.

The purpose of the delegation is to lay the groundwork for the accelerated development of cooperation between the business sectors of the countries and with the leading institutions in the fields of industry, trade and investment in Dubai.

It also aims to promote free trade activity to the Gulf states, East Africa and South Asia through the UAE's unique trade zones.

The delegation travels to Dubai at the invitation of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by Hamed Baumim, President and CEO of the Bureau.

During their visit to Dubai, the members of the delegation will meet with the corresponding heads of economy in the Union and get to know the important trade centers in Dubai, which will now also be open to Israeli businessmen for the first time, such as Dubai's Free Trade Areas, Expo 2020, Jabal Ali Port WORLD and the Dubai WTC Exhibition and Exhibition Center.

Focus: Technology

Business organizations estimate that the volume of trade between the countries may reach billions of dollars a year in the near future and beyond, and most Israeli exports to the Emirates are expected to focus on advanced Israeli technology in areas such as cyber, medical equipment, agricultural technology, solar energy, water desalination, pharmaceuticals and more.

Meanwhile, the first shipment of fruits and vegetables was sold in Dubai under the Israeli flag.

This is a shipment of Agrexco Carmel, controlled by the Ampa Group, which includes cherry tomatoes, dates, pomegranates, potatoes and sweet potatoes.

The shipment is offered for sale at Peresh Market in Dubai.

Next, the company plans to expand direct exports to Dubai and also include citrus, strawberries, berries and flowers.

In the first phase, exports are made by air, and future planning is to do so on direct flights from Ben Gurion Airport to Dubai or via the shipping line expected to be established between the ports of Eilat and Haifa and the port of Jabal Ali in Dubai.

According to Yoav Shur, CEO of Agrexco Carmel: "This is the first shipment sold in Dubai under the Israeli flag.

The responses we received from the customer in the Emirates were excellent, both on the quality of the product and on its source.

The blue-and-white fruits and vegetables are displayed in the "Fresh Market" market under the Israeli flag. "
