It took time for the Washington Post to come out with the headline "Biden defeated Trump."

The election, to remind you, was held last Tuesday, but it was not the smooth victory that pollsters and commentators in America predicted.

It was a close battle - and if Trump had pursued a consistent and clear policy toward the Corona virus, one that would appeal to Bays but also to those disappointed, he would have continued for another four years in the White House.

But leaders are also measured by dealing with an unexpected crisis, and Joe Biden is the 46th president.

Leave history.

These were elections that would be talked about for years to come.

And they are not quite over yet: As of this writing, Trump does not intend to give up the legal path.

Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal lawyer, has taken on the task of exposing the election fraud.

Trump's main problem is that he knew about forgeries - ostensibly - and was unable to prevent them.

More than that, he needs his fellow Republican elected officials, and behind the scenes I'm not sure a large part of the party members are unhappy that he's leaving.

One virus made the difference

In the last four years - in fact since June 2015, when he entered politics - Trump has taken all the place, all the space.

These elections were around him, and he is enjoying every moment of this referendum.

He managed to get even more people to the polls than in 2016.

But one virus made the small difference between the collapse of the Blue Wall then, and its rebuilding by Biden this year.

The vast majority of the signs I saw celebrated Trump's loss and his expected demise from the political stage - and not Biden's entry into office.

Now a lot of space has become available in the public space.

Also in the media.

The question now is: What will all the leftist channels in America do when they do not have Trump?

Some will have to reinvent themselves, most notably CNN and the New York Times, which have attacked Trump with immense obsession from day one.

They said he would lose big;

But he has increased the number of voters from previous elections, including among minorities, thanks to whom he won in Florida and Texas and almost in blue Nevada, in part because they "refused" to fulfill the role the Democrats intended for them.

It was said that his constituents would set America on fire - and I saw with my own eyes how windows and buildings were protected from this fear;

I have not heard of a single car being set on fire.

So who was responsible for the panic of violence - and the riots themselves - that have swept America over the past year?

Trump supporters or Democrats?

What is the joy of Id?

One can understand the joy of his opponents and the street celebrations of the Democrats.

But the joy of Id in the country is less clear to me.

An amazing president for Israel is leaving the White House.

I had the privilege of interviewing him three times in the Oval Office.

I'm still excited to talk to the President of the United States about his daughter's conversion process. I'm still excited about his stories of washing hands at her home on Saturday night. Some predicted we'll still miss Obama, but never sat in the White House with such great, warm and energetic love To the Jews and to the State of Israel.

This is not a president who saw us only as a strategic prism of international relations. His attitude toward Israel was not just to please Jewish voters or AIPAC.

For Trump, Israel and the United States are part of the same family. His warmth was in the most basic sense, even when he was pressured not to move the embassy and all the other things he did for us, even though he did not have to. For him, Israel is more than an ally; It is possible to prefer a democratic president, it is also possible to disagree with Trump's policy and criticize his style, but why reject with such contempt an outstretched hand of a president who has not removed the good of Israel from his administration's agenda?

Trump went down in history as moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, recognizing sovereignty over the Golan Heights, recognizing the legality of settlement in Judea and Samaria, and paving the way for an anti-Iranian strategic alliance that dramatically strengthens Israel's status and security in the Middle East.

It opened with a peace swing, which a large part of its critics in the country had already begun to enjoy.

In his time, Israel achieved three normalization agreements - and America did not go to war.

Regional stability is back.

So when we talk about returning to the good old world order and breathing a sigh of relief, what exactly are we talking about?

On the spring of wars, coups and waves of terror?

The style versus the essence

Trump had his blunt style, but sometimes you have to know how to separate style from essence.

And his constituents understood that.

The economic indicators in his time were excellent, global paradigms changed, the level of security rose, and for many in the US (about half), and certainly in our area - the feeling is of parting from an excellent president. He did not broadcast success against the Corona virus, but from here to say The Democrats' status in the Midwest and key countries is a wild exaggeration. There was no mention of the blue wave of 2018 this year, and Nancy Pelosi may still pay the price for her position as House Speaker.

In recent days, I have not stopped thinking about Gruber Cleveland, the 22nd president of America - who was also the 24th president.

Who knows, maybe Trump will do the same.

In the meantime he is not giving up.

I would recommend that he assist Republicans in the special election for the two Georgia Senate seats, which will be held in January.

This is the next important battle, dramatic for the Republican Party, in which it will be determined what the upper house of Congress will look like that could thwart or confirm Biden's vision.

There the real battle was fought over the future character of America for the next four years, from health care reform to immigration, and even in Israeli affairs on certain issues.

Biden with a message of unity

And we wish President-elect Joe Biden success.

At the end of the debates, the fervor, the storm and the politics - we do not forget that it is nevertheless the elected president of our great friend and leader of the free world.

I saw the burst of joy and triumphant celebrations in the streets.

Expectations from him, and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, are high.

Biden delivered a unifying speech, as did his deputy.

Everyone was moved by the messages of unity - even those who from day one did not accept the legitimacy of Trump and his voters.

And a final note to our peace camp, which comes out dancing.

No word of concern for the fate of the peace agreements with the five countries on the way?
