CNN reported that the president's son-in-law and close adviser, Jared Kushner, told Trump that in his opinion the results should be acknowledged and the loss acknowledged, according to two senior sources.

According to the same report, First Lady Melania Trump also approached her husband and offered to give him up.

A source involved in the matter told CNN that although Melania did not speak publicly on the matter, she expressed her opinion privately to her husband.

"She offered her advice, as she often does," the source said.

At the same time, Melania tweeted yesterday: "The American people deserve a fair election. Any legal, illegal, form of voting must be counted. We must protect our democracy through full transparency."

But not everyone in the family agrees with Melania and Jared.

The president's sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, continued to tweet yesterday claiming the election results were the result of fraud.

Eric demanded a manual recount of all U.S. votes - a number of about 150 million. Donald Jr., for his part, accused the three "rust strip" states - Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania - of "unbridled fraud." The

Meanwhile, The Republican legal battle is struggling to succeed. The president's men recorded one important victory in Pennsylvania when a judge ordered a separate vote in case of a recount. Trump intends to file a lawsuit alleging that thousands of votes were disqualified
