The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, traveled by plane this Sunday to the Argentine province of Jujuy, bordering Bolivia, from where he plans to cross into the country this Monday, his press team reported to CNN.

The former Bolivian president said at the end of October that he would return to the country one day after the inauguration of the new president, Luis Arce, who was sworn into office this Sunday.

According to information shared with CNN by Morales's press team, the ex-president will arrive in the city of Villazón, on the border with the province of Jujuy, and then “travel by caravan” through the cities of Oruro, Potosí, Cochabamba and, finally, Chimoré. .

The former president, who resigned from office in November 2019, had been in Argentina since December of that year as a refugee.
