The government assesses as positive the victory in the United States elections of Joe Biden over Donald Trump, which opens the possibility of expanding bilateral relations.
"A priori there is a provisional work agenda with the president-elect,"
Santiago Cafiero said on Radio Diez this Sunday.
And he listed the "environmental issue, the multilateral vision of the world, a shared vision on the importance of diversity and a shared position with a view on human rights."
However, the chief of staff was cautious with the triumph of the Republican candidate, pointing out that
"we do not have to think that a change of political sign will have a change of policy with Latin America, that is not going to happen
.
"
The Casa Rosada also points to the consolidation of other issues involving the energy situation with Vaca Muerta, which the newly elected president of the United States knows about due to family businesses.
On Saturday, President Alberto Fernández congratulated "the American people for their record turnout in the elections,
a clear expression of popular will
."
And he greeted Biden and Kamala Harris, the first vice president in American history.
I congratulate the American people on the record turnout in the elections, a clear expression of popular will.
I greet @JoeBiden, the next president of the United States, and @KamalaHarris, who will be the first female vice president of that country.

From isolation to distancing
Cafiero also referred to the change in strategy regarding the coronavirus in Argentina, which went from mandatory and preventive social isolation to a stage of social distancing.
"The distancing is a normative instance, there is supervision
," the official warned.
And he pointed out that if there are crowds of people in different jurisdictions, "the security forces have to go to dissuade them."
"Now with this
perhaps people relax a little more, the truth is that it does not have to happen,
" said Cafiero regarding the change in the situation in the metropolitan area.
Russian vaccine
The chief of staff expressed the official position regarding the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, which the Argentine government announced that it would buy 20 million doses and which generated controversy in opposition sectors regarding its effectiveness.
"There is ignorance of what are the tasks that Argentina is doing with respect to the vaccine.
The President instructed us so that each vaccine that is available we bring it to Argentina
, on that premise we work with laboratories that had local points, which had links here and from here we could see and follow the progress, "he said.
And the Argentine president sentenced to the Russian authorities is "that they
will be applied when they are approved
."
