This Sunday in the Legislative Assembly of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora was sworn in as the new president of the country, in a ceremony where he was handed over the command of the government.

The new vice president, David Choquehuanca, was also sworn in at this ceremony.

Present at the event were the leaders of Paraguay, Argentina and Colombia, among others, as well as the Foreign Minister of Chile and the President of Ministers of Peru.

The ceremony was also attended by King Felipe VI of Spain.

This Sunday, President Luis Arce congratulated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on their victory in the presidential elections.

Arce tweeted: "With a new government we predict better relations that will translate into the well-being of our peoples."
