A few minutes after taking off from La Aurora airport in Guatemala, a TG-SMT plane loaded with humanitarian assistance crashed this Sunday in a residential site in Zone 9 of Guatemala City.
Firefighters at the scene told CNN that a person died in the incident and his companion was taken in a serious condition to a care center.
It was a private plane of those who joined to help in the face of the emergency caused by tropical cyclone Eta, which was moving towards Alta Verapaz in order to respond to the victims.

Authorities identified the pilot in command as Airman Captain Juan José Rómulo Lopez Yat.
Civil Aeronautics of the country reported that they are investigating the causes of the event.
