The first DDEMU trains made by the German company Siemens Mobility are expected to arrive in Israel towards the end of November, and will enter service during 2021. Transportation of the new trains will be possible upon completion of the Hasharon and Ashkelon lines, where a new electric operating complex will be built.

In addition, the trailers will be operated on additional lines that are expected to be converted to electrification in the future.

They will join the fleet of electric trains, which also includes the new electric locomotives of the TRAXX model and the familiar two-story carriages that have been converted to electricity by Israel Railways.
