The Russian Operations Room for combating the spread of the new Corona virus announced today that 20,498 new infections were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Russia Today quoted the room as saying that the new infections are distributed among all regions of Russia, on top of which is the capital, Moscow, which recorded 5,751 injuries.
The chamber indicated that 286 new deaths were recorded as a result of the virus, compared to 364 deaths the previous day.
The total number of corona infections recorded in Russia since the beginning of the pandemic increased by 1.2 percent during the past 24 hours and became one million and 774334, including 30,537 deaths, while 11,492 patients recovered since yesterday, bringing the total number of people to one million and 324,419 people.
The Russian authorities are seeking to launch a mass vaccination campaign against the coronavirus at the end of this year.
