Damascus-Sana
Author and director Saeed Ataya tried, through his theatrical performance that bore the name of the Penguins, which is presented on the puppet theater in Damascus, to combine educational values and entertainment and present a saying that urges the fulfillment of the promise.
Through a harmonious play that combined singing and dancing, scenography was employed to complement the aesthetic of the story, the children's interaction with a tale that brought together the penguins and the bear coming from the forest, who learned from the penguins the love of work, initiative and cooperation.
The director of the work, Saeed Ataya, considered in a statement to SANA Cultural that the child's theater can carry the aesthetic values in all its dimensions and goals, and it includes details that are favorable to the child, especially if we can deliver them in an attractive manner, because the theater is able to convince the child and teach him many things that he accepts with passion.
Ataya stressed that the Penguin play is one among a series of performances he presented to children and did not stop even during the years of the war on Syria, pointing out the need to support children's theater, especially at the text level, because it is one of the special platforms in evaluating and raising our young because of its direct impact on them.
