While the results of DNA tests and the behavioral expert report establish the responsibility of Christophe Ellul's dog in the assassination of his companion Elisa Pilarski, he expressed himself, a year after the facts, during a press conference this Tuesday, November 10, in Bordeaux.

Faced with what his lawyer, Me Alexandre Novion, qualifies as "
Curtis-bashing
", the victim's companion spoke of his relationship with the deceased, the origins of the dog, but also the accusations of "
animal abuse
" which he made l 'object, while "
their love for animals and their passion for dogs was the starting point of my client's relationship with Elisa,
" commented the lawyer.
"
I miss Elisa a lot, despite what you can hear in the media,
" began the companion of the victim.
"
And I want to clarify that it is my dog, but Elisa had a real fusion with him
", wished to clarify the master of Curtis.
On November 16, the young woman of 29 years pregnant with 6 months was found dead in the forest of Retz in Saint-Pierre Aigle, in the Aisne.
While she was walking with her dog, Elisa Pilarski had made a call to her companion, Christophe Ellul, a few minutes before her death.
The latter will explain later that Elisa had told him to be attacked by "
several dogs
", implicating the pack of the crew of the '
Rallye la Passion
' which carried out at the time of the tragedy a hunt with hounds in the surroundings.
Found in a half-devoured ravine, Elisa Pilarski would have died, according to the autopsy report, as a result of "
a hemorrhage following several dog bites in the upper and lower limbs as well as the head
".
In November 2019, a judicial investigation was opened against X.

Returning point by point to the elements of the case, Christophe Ellul first dwelled on the veterinary expertise which established that the origins and education of Curtis were determining factors in the murder of Elisa Pilarski.
Bite learning is directly linked to Curtis' aggressive behavior, the report says.
"
Curtis never took a bite, but he had a toy, just a sausage,
" Ellul defended.

Regarding the illegal importation of the canine, Ellul assured to have "
bought a dog with a passport and up to date vaccines
", which, according to his statements during the conference, "
is not the case of all hunting dogs. à courre

more than 40 of these dogs are not in good standing, it is marked in the file.
Moreover, according to Sebastien van den Berghe
[the crew master of the rally]
, 5 of these dogs died,
”explained Christophe Ellul.

I think they are the ones I saw when I found Elisa and Enzo dead
," he added, referring to the child Elisa was carrying.
"
But
there is no death certificate and, according to Sebastien van den Berghe, these dogs were simply buried on his land
."
Another point to which Christophe Ellul wished to come back: the differences in care between Curtis and the dogs of the venery society.
The latter explained that his mastiff had been immediately taken care of and that no organic matter had been found between his teeth just after the tragedy "
while we let the hounds go
."
Finally, concerning the fact that the report defines Curtis as having an "
uncontrolled bite
", Christophe Ellul defends the behavior of his dog by explaining that "
after 9 months spent in the pound
", it is "
normal that, on the day of the expertise, when given a sausage, Curtis wants to play
”.
Christophe Ellul concluded the conference by declaring: "
