A 13-year-old raised a fawn in Weißenburg.

One night he heard "piercing" screams.

The animal was attacked - the boy could no longer help him.

  • One family raised a fawn by hand.

  • Especially the 13-year-old Max had a close friendship with the animal.

  • One night the boy woke up because the fawn was screaming - it was attacked by a dog.

Weißenburg - A tragic story took place in the Weißenburg district of

Oberhochstatt

.

As

reported by

nordbayern.de

, a 13-year-old boy discovered a

fawn

and raised it with a bottle.

A friendship developed between the animal and the boy - but it came to a tragic end.

Boy hears fawn screaming: “Quite different.

Penetrating and terrifying "

13-year-old Max heard the animal scream one night.

"Completely different.

Penetrating and terrifying, ”the teenager recalls.

At that time - it was 1:03 a.m. - he was in bed.

Since the window of his room faces the courtyard, Max woke up to the

noises

.

The boy jumped out of bed, opened the front door and saw from there what was going on on the opposite side of the courtyard.

A large

dog

had jumped into Fawn Schuppe's enclosure.

The fence is around 1.20 meters high and should actually protect the deer.

But now the animal could not escape the dog.

The fawn ran in a circle, but it was easy for the dog and bit the animal once in the head.

Max had no chance

to help

the

deer

, as

reported by

.

The boy's family had meanwhile also arrived in the courtyard, but they all could only watch as the big dog - startled by their

screams

- fled.

He jumped out of the enclosure and disappeared into the night.

"In the dark I could only see that it was a big dog, possibly a German shepherd or a shepherd mix," said Max's mother to the newspaper.

The family couldn't sleep, everyone mourned the fawn.

Father Robert even looked for the attacker in the village, which is frequented by stray dogs, but could not find him.

Max cried bitterly: "Why my scales of all places?" He asked his mother.

Five months earlier, the boy and the little deer had become friends.

Back then, the family found the fawn in a

heap of fir-fronds

on the outskirts.

It got tangled up and was screaming.

According to

nordbayern.de,

they inquired about

hand-rearing and, according to estimates, took the animal, which is around a week old, with them to their farm.

Hardly anyone could sleep in the house because Dandruff kept screaming.

The fawn was therefore

relocated

to a

calf igloo

.

For the 13-year-old, that meant getting up every two hours, going into the garden and feeding the young animal.

After a few days, his mother took over from him.

Boy raises fawn with bottle: special friendship between humans and animals

It was clear to Max right from the start: The fawn should be released into the wild at some point.

So he started

walking

with

dandruff

.

It worked: The duo made it every week, the low ran after Max like a little dog and only moved a few meters away from him.

The

fawn had also made friends

with

farm dog Lotte

, there are photos of both lying quietly next to each other.

“One had the impression that Lotte Schnuppe wanted to protect,” the 13-year-old told

nordbayern.de

.

But when the attack happened, the farm dog was not outside, but in the house.

The family now hopes

to be able to shake up

dog owners

so that their four-legged friends cannot simply run away.

Max's mother doesn't even want to imagine what could happen if a dog were to become a child at play.

A small kangaroo has escaped from its enclosure.

It's back now, but another animal has fled.
