Sweida-Sana
The activities of the Thirteenth Shahba Festival for Heritage and Arts were concluded at the Arab Cultural Center in the city of Shahba, in Sweida, with a traditional evening that included poetry and singing.
The evening included poems by the poet Dr. Nawwaf Abu Shaha that mixed between classical and colloquial ones, including a poem on the Levant emphasizing mantras and pride in belonging to the homeland.
He also performed songs with the oud playing, in addition to traditional and patriotic songs, with the lute being played by Ziad Al-Ammar Ghanem, accompanied by the young man, Maan Al-Da'ibis Ghanem, who played the percussion, who performed at the same time the compositions of the Al-Majouz and Al-Shababah instruments accompanied by songs from the heritage of Sweida.
The festival, which was organized by the Al Adiyat Association branch in cooperation with the Culture Directorate, was launched on the eighth of this month and witnessed exhibitions, lectures, and a tourist procession from Qanawat town to Sia village.
