The World Health Organization’s Regional Office for the Americas said today that the United States will soon cross the threshold of 10 million cases of Covid-19, as the record high of injuries continues.
"The organization warns that Covid 19 cases are on the rise in the Americas, with an average of 150,000 cases per day recorded last week," Reuters quoted the office's assistant director, Garbas Barbosa, as saying, adding that "parts of Canada and some states in Mexico, including the capital, are experiencing sharp increases."
The United States leads the countries most affected by the Corona virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths, followed by India, and then Brazil, according to the American site World Meters.
