Hama Oils Company doubled its sales volume and achieved profits of more than 353 million pounds

Hama Oils Company achieved profits of 353 million and 186 thousand Syrian pounds from the beginning of this year until last October from sales of pure cotton seed oil, kasbah and soap.

The general manager of the company, Eng. Abdul Majeed Qalfeh, confirmed in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the company has recently intensified its efforts to mitigate the negative effects of the unfair economic blockade that affected most sectors, as it succeeded in supplying the local market with its needs of pure cotton seed oil, soap, and cake material that is used as a fodder. For livestock, indicating that, during the first ten months of this year, 7,450 tons of cotton seeds received from the governorate's gins were squeezed, resulting in 493 tons of cotton oil, in addition to 5809 tons of bread, 116 tons of lent, and 7 tons of soap.

Qalfah pointed out that the value of the company's sales of all its main and secondary products amounted to one billion and 813 million pounds during 10 months, with an increase of about one billion and 134 million pounds over the corresponding period of last year, which amounted to 679 million pounds, indicating that this increase was achieved as a result of the increase in sales of oil. Cotton seeds, which amounted to 625 tons, in addition to 5559 tons of cake for the feed establishment branch and 15 tons of soap, which during the same period last year was 317 tons of cotton seed oil, 2242 tons of cake and 23 tons of soap.

Qalfah pointed out that the reason for the increase in the sales percentage is due to the increase in the demand of various public and private sectors to purchase cotton seed oil in addition to the increase in the pace of work and production within the company, indicating that the company's sales to the branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in Hama amounted to about 68 million pounds in addition to more than 74 million pounds for the military social institution.

The company had started comprehensive maintenance work for various sections as well as dismantling, transporting, installing and operating shaving shops from Ain Al-Tal factory in Aleppo governorate to Hama Oil Company and carrying out the necessary Umrah to operate it, as part of the company's plans and programs to develop work.
