Referents of Together for Change spoke out on Wednesday to reject the criticisms of President Alberto Fernández against the management of former governor María Eugenia Vidal in the province of Buenos Aires.
The provincial deputy for the ARI Civic Coalition
Maricel Etchecoin was one of the first to speak.
"I would not like to have to remind the President of what millions of Argentines suffered until a few years ago, but the residents of the province suffered major floods, such as those in La Plata, because there were no governments interested in solving infrastructure problems," said the reference of the space led by Elisa Carrió.
In addition, he assured that during the management of Cambiemos
"more than 300 works
that benefited more than 12 million Buenos Aires" were completed.
"The basins of the Reconquista, Luján, Salado, Matanza-Riachuelo, Areco and Capital Region rivers were intervened with hydraulic works after years of neglect," he explained.
"Today the President says that in the management of María Eugenia Vidal we had 'everything to do' and I agree. We had absolutely everything to do after 28 years of neglect of PJ governments. Look if we had not lost opportunities in almost 3 decades", he replied.
Cristian Ritondo,
the head of the PRO bloc in the Chamber of Deputies
, spoke online
.
"The president is missing the truth because reality is in sight. During María Eugenia Vidal's administration in the Luján River Basin we began and finished more than 20 works," he said in a message that he spread on his twitter account and that shared with the slogan
"AlbertoCaradura".
"Between 2018 and 2019 we started 24 works that benefited more than 100,000 residents. Trails, culverts and bridges were built to improve circulation and the quality of life of the residents of the Province," he added.
Ritondo remarked that
"in front of the false story are the works
.
"
"28 years had passed with 14 floods. The people of Buenos Aires are witnesses of our work and they can tell them about the works that María Eugenia Vidal started and today they can enjoy," he added.
The opposition leaders spoke like this after the reference that the President made in an act against Vidal, although without mentioning it: "I remember a candidate wearing boots amid the flood and they did nothing."
