Berchtesgaden Alps: “Adventure in the funnel” ends lightly
Because alternative routes were also out of the question due to the uncertain weather, he decided to spend the night there - despite the low temperatures.
The
BRK Berchtesgaden
averaged “frosty weather.” The next morning he wanted to get back on the trail, but couldn't find it and walked up and down several trenches, whereupon he ended up in the large funnel and got stuck.
With no cell phone battery left, he called out loud for help.
Fortunately, his calls were noticed by the hikers on the Steftensteig so that the man could be helped.
Except for a few grazes, he would have
survived
his "adventure in the
funnel
" of which the
BRK
spoke, almost unharmed.
