The police yesterday (11th) arrested 2 Vietnamese men and 1 woman, aged between 25 and 40, for handling stolen goods.

Based on intelligence collection, the police monitored a thief syndicate active in West Kowloon. After in-depth investigation, they identified the key members of the syndicate and the Mong Kok unit suspected to be collecting stolen goods.

At noon yesterday, the Criminal Division of the Yau Tsim Police District carried out an ambush operation. While the key members of 1 male and 1 female were transporting stolen goods back to the unit, they were successfully arrested and another 27-year-old man was arrested inside the unit. More than 3,800 stolen goods were recovered, including daily Daily necessities, food, alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, electrical appliances and household items are worth about 1 million yuan.

It is understood that the stolen shops include chain stores.
