Erding - The 13th death in connection with the pandemic in the Erding district since March shows how dangerous the corona virus can be.
According to the Erding Clinic, the man was not yet 50 years old.
In total, the health department reported 50 new infections for Thursday, again slightly more than the day before (47).
Since the first case on March 4, 1711, county citizens have been infected with Sars-Cov-2.
The seven-day index is currently 219.6 new infections, calculated over a week and 100,000 inhabitants.
On Wednesday it was 216.7.
According to district office spokeswoman Daniela Fritzen, the number of people recovered rose by 13 to 1215. This means that 483 people are currently infected (previous day: 447).
19 Covid-19 patients are currently being treated at the Erding Clinic, four of them in the intensive care unit.
They all have to be artificially ventilated, reports Fritzen.
A smear at the screening site at the Erdinger swimming pool was recently taken from 251 people.
The district office recorded a total of 16,470 tests.
The test center in Dorfen will be open again this Friday afternoon and on the weekend.
Due to a Covid-19 case at the Herzog-Tassilo-Realschule, 32 students and a teacher have to be in quarantine.
Three other teachers who live outside the district have been reported to the local health authorities.
One case each occurred in two asylum shelters in Taufkirchen and Wartenberg.
Today there are series tests.
