President Alberto Fernández assured this Friday that "

the

economic

adjustment

" in the midst of the crisis the Government is doing "by not paying the interest on the debt that others took", referring to Mauricio Macri.

He said it when participating in the announcement of railway infrastructure works for the Buenos Aires municipalities of Merlo, Morón and Moreno.

And he did so amid criticism from the opposition that point against his management after the change in the pension mobility formula that, for Juntos por el Cambio, simply represents

"an adjustment."

"All the media that years ago did not care how it was spent and indebted, are concerned about where we are making the adjustment. We are making the adjustment

by not paying the interest on the debt

that others took and that we decided to postpone to make investments such as these ", launched Fernández.

And he added: "If you want to know where the adjustment is, there is the adjustment."

The head of state communicated virtually from the Olivos Residence with the Minister of Transportation, Mario Meoni, who was in Morón with the mayors Lucas Ghi;

Mariel Fernández, from Moreno;

and Gustavo Menéndez, from Merlo.

The President complies in the Olivos Residence with the isolation protocol as a preventive measure after the Secretary for Strategic Affairs of the Presidency, Gustavo Béliz, tested positive for coronavirus.
