Five days ago, Alassane Ouattara saw his election at the head of Côte d'Ivoire endorsed by the Constitutional Council, without much surprise.
But this validation does not prevent this third term, contested by the opposition which has chosen to boycott the ballot, promises to be complicated.
This new five-year term, obtained at the cost of a change of Constitution, is not accepted by part of the country.

Despite a plebiscite score, nearly 94% of the vote, the Ivorian president was, in fact, badly elected.
The official participation, set at 54%, hides it very badly.
The figure was obtained by the electoral commission only by sleight of hand, when in fact it stood at around 42%.
