Corona in the USA: Governor of New York calls on citizens - "Take it seriously"
First report from November 12th:
New York City - In
spring, the
metropolis of
New York City
stood like no other city for the extreme severity with which the United States was
hit
by the first wave of the
corona pandemic
.
In
April,
US President
Donald Trump
*
made the infection process in New York, which had got out of control, a top priority in April, at least insofar as he sent a US hospital ship to the Big Apple.
The "USNS Comfort" should help
to relieve
the hopelessly overloaded
hospitals
in the metropolis.
More than half a year later,
Donald Trump
missed re-election as US President - in the opinion of many experts, not least because of his
Corona policy
- and
New York City could
again develop into a
second wave *
Corona hotspot
.
"It's getting really worse every day," said New York State Governor
Andrew Cuomo
of the Democrats on Wednesday.
In order to ease the burden on the
health system
, Cuomo ordered stricter measures.
“The increase in cases is there.
We're taking
action
, but
we
need New Yorkers to do their part.
Wear a
mask
.
Let yourself be tested *.
Follow the health guidelines.
Take it seriously, ”Cuomo wrote on Twitter.
COVID is getting worse by the day.
All around the country.
The fall surge is here.
We are taking action but we need New Yorkers to do their part.
Wear a mask. Get tested.
Follow all health guidelines.
Take this seriously.

Corona in the USA: New restrictions in New York - "last chance"
As of Friday, restaurants, bars and fitness studios should close at 10 p.m.
Private indoor meetings are limited to a maximum of ten people.
If the
measures
did not ensure relaxation of the
infection
situation,
the interior rooms
could also be completely
closed
,
Cuomo
said
.
Bill de Blasio, the Mayor of
New York City
, also described the measures as a “last chance” to
avert
an escalation in the second
corona wave
