In Pöcking, one looks spellbound at the negotiation, the date has not yet been set
Pöcking
- There were dramatic scenes that took place on May 26th on Starnberger Strasse in Pöcking.
A few neighbors were standing together in front of an apartment building when around 2:40 p.m. suddenly a silver-colored VW Golf approached the group of five.
At the wheel: a then 43-year-old man who was apparently targeting his girlfriend, 20 years his junior, who was talking to acquaintances.
After the gunman caught the group and injured some people, including a 16-year-old girl, local residents tried to stop him.
There were also injuries.
Six months after Pöcking went amok: murder charges brought
Now the Munich II public prosecutor's office has completed the indictment against the now 44-year-old golf driver.
This confirms authority spokeswoman Andrea Mayer to the Starnberger Merkur.
The allegations weigh heavily: the public prosecutor's office accuses the man of, among other things, attempted murder in five cases, as well as bodily harm, dangerous interference with traffic, unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident and property damage.
"We assume that he consciously drove into the group," says Mayer.
Therefore, the man acted with intent to kill.
“He accepted that someone would die as a result of the action,” emphasizes Mayer.
According to the prosecutor's office, murder characteristic: insidiousness
The public prosecutor sees treachery as a feature of murder.
The group of people did not have to expect the car to drive towards them, explains Mayer.
In addition, a car is a "dangerous means to the public".
The public prosecutor cannot say anything about the motivation, but it should be found in the private sphere.
The 44-year-old has been in custody since the act, but has apparently not yet commented on the incident.
"But there are enough witnesses," says Mayer.
Suspected perpetrator is silent: did he want to commit suicide?
Due to the man's silence, it is also unclear whether he wanted to commit suicide after the crime in Pöcking or whether he had an accident.
At any rate, his escape ended that day at a solitary tree along the route between Perchting and Drößling.
The Golf collided head-on with the tree, the driver was trapped in the wreck and had to be freed by fire fighters.
Victims refused help from the Pöcking community
The first criminal chamber of the Munich II district court, the so-called jury court, is responsible for the process.
A date has not been set.
Pöcking's mayor Rainer Schnitzler should also pay special attention to the process.
He was shocked immediately after the crime.
“I don't understand how you can come up with such an idea.
There is nothing that can be used to justify such an act, ”he said to the Starnberg Mercury.
The community offered the victims in writing help at the time, Schnitzler now says.
But no one accepted this official offer.
