The government announced that real GDP fell by 3.5% year-on-year in the third quarter, which was significantly narrower than the 9% contraction in the second quarter.

In the first three quarters, real GDP contracted by 7.2% compared with the same period last year.

On a seasonally adjusted quarter-to-quarter comparison, real GDP rebounded by 2.8% in the third quarter, reversing the five consecutive quarters of contraction.
