Jean-Luc Mélenchon has succeeded.
By announcing his candidacy for the presidential election last Sunday at the “8 pm” of TF1, the head of France rebellious managed to retain media attention throughout the week.
Clever, the deputy of Bouches-du-Rhône maintained the soap opera by adding a condition to his candidacy: to garner the support of at least 150,000 French people, via online signatures.
A walk in the park for the former presidential candidate who only had to convince 2.12% of his voters in 2017. While the counter had flown in the night from Sunday to Monday, passing the bar of 50,000 signatures on Monday morning, some rebels had dreamed that the goal would be reached in less than 24 hours.

Finally, the 150,000 signatures were exceeded Thursday evening, a few minutes before the launch of the special evening dedicated to him by BFM TV.
