Democrat Joe Biden solidified his victory in the United States elections by finally winning 306 votes to the 232 for Republican President Donald Trump, US media reported on Friday based on projections.
Under the Electoral College system in force in that country, 270 votes are required to become president.
Ten days after the November 3 election, Biden was declared the winner in Georgia (contributing 16 electoral votes), and became the first Democrat to win in that state in 28 years.
Meanwhile, Trump triumphed in North Carolina (which contributes 15 delegates to the Electoral College), several outlets noted, including NBC and CNN.
Although Biden has not yet been officially declared president-elect - a function that corresponds to the General Administration of Services for the effective transfer of power - it
is
currently
mathematically impossible for Trump to win
the elections.

On Saturday CNN already gave the victory to Biden, who surpassed 270 electoral votes after winning in the states of Arizona and Pennsylvania.
The Democrat would have obtained 50.8 percent of the votes, while Trump has 47.4 percent of the endorsements.
The Electoral College, made up of 538 members, formally decides the presidency of the United States.
In any case, the data is not definitive, since the state of Georgia began a manual recount of the votes on Friday, given the narrow margin of difference between Biden and Trump.
The process could take up to five days, while the Republican president insists that there were irregularities, although an official report assures that the election was absolutely transparent.
The hand recount of the nearly five million votes and, after all counties certify their results,
should conclude
at midnight
on Wednesday, Nov. 18
, the Georgia electoral authorities announced.
The laws of the state indicate that the votes must be counted again when the difference margin is less than 0.5%, and in this case Biden maintains an advantage over Trump, after counting 99% of the total votes, of 14,000 votes. , which represents 0.3%.
However, in the unlikely event that the result changes in Georgia, the truth is that
Biden has sufficient margin with the states where
the projections of the country's main media outlets have
already won him
