It has been closed for a good month, at the beginning of the week the old Hartlbrücke over the Strogen in Wartenberg was finally hit by the collar: The demolition on Aufhamer Straße is done.
Wartenberg - The company Wadle Bau from Essenbach has been commissioned with the demolition and new construction.
As a subcontractor, Haun Erdbau GmbH from Landshut has torn away the bridge since last Monday.
"Then the Wadle company will continue with the concreting of the abutments", explains Mayor Christian Pröbst when asked by our newspaper.
When that is done, the work is expected to take a winter break from mid-December.
"From the beginning of March the tension girders of the bridge will be assembled and the bridge will be completed by August 2021," Pröbst looks ahead.
So it will take about nine months until the diversion is no longer necessary.
According to the mayor, however, there is no resentment among the population: “There are currently no complaints or problems.” Many students also have to accept detours.
“You are now walking the big round on Thenner Strasse.
There are no problems here either, ”says Pröbst.
As is well known, the old bridge was getting on in years and had long been a candidate for the wrecking ball.
As early as 2012, after a main test, it was clear that her condition was no longer acceptable.
Therefore, a tonnage limit of 5.5 tons was decided, the roadway narrowed and the speed limited to ten km / h.
The new building - according to the application for a grant, costs a total of almost one million euros - it will widen the area and should also be helpful in flood protection.
Because the new bridge does not need a central pillar.
Parallel to the demolition, the sidewalk at Netto next to the bridge will be renewed these days.
“There are no problems here either.
A good diversion for pedestrians has been set up, ”reports Pröbst.
The traffic on Strogenstraße is regulated by a construction site traffic light.
