Municipal housing
"An idea becomes reality - the house is now filled with life," says Gneißl about the community building with ten apartments of different shapes that have now been moved into.
The mayor is also proud that the house has a good sustainability status.
They consciously spent more money on this.
The completed settlement has a good 30 parcels.
Further building areas are to be created in Hörlkofen and Hofsingelding, "because we feel a certain need to catch up".
For Hörlkofen Nord, the resolution has already been taken.
In Hofsingelding, an area was removed from the landscape protection area in order to enable further structural development there.
"We will have to think about new forms of living," said Gneißl.
The development of land prices requires new approaches.
The mayor mentions key words here such as building condominiums and cooperative building.
Management for flash flood risk
With the flash flood risk management, Wörth became a pilot community in Bavaria.
The complete concept should be ready by the end of the year.
The municipality made all information publicly available in order to make it available to the authorities, other municipalities and citizens.
Gneißl: "We have used all of our channels."
The concept is to be presented to the public again at the beginning of 2021.
Then it is necessary to adapt the digital terrain models to reality and to initiate a bundle of measures.
When realizing the protection projects, one has to rely on the public.
It is also about land acquisition.
The intake structure in Wifling has already been renovated to be prepared for heavy rain events.
News from the kindergartens
“The new kindergarten in Wörth is in the planning,” the mayor continues.
The church kindergarten is to be increased from four to six groups thanks to the two-story construction - a goal for which the municipality has made a strong commitment to meet the need for places.
"The community started this process."
The municipal children's home in Hörlkofen accommodates nine groups (two crèche, four kindergarten, two after-school care groups and a school kindergarten).
In order to avoid waiting lists, the municipality created a kindergarten group as a transitional solution by splitting the use of the dwarf garden.
Ultimately, the plan is to also establish a forest kindergarten group.
Learning landscapes in school
The existing school expansion based on the concept of learning landscapes will keep the community busy for even longer.
The Hörlkofener playground is to become a cross-generational meeting place.
“We are about to implement it” at a cost of around 350,000 euros.
Another project: the new construction of the water guard hut in a "moderate dimension".
Gneißl promises that the veranda will be a major concern of many bathers.
Positive experiences in the negative crisis
An energy efficiency model for the waterworks with pump replacement, operation of the treatment plant based on the current situation and optimized control technology was also implemented.
Cost: 100,000 euros.
"All of these developments were relatively little affected by Corona," sums up Gneißl.
However, it was very drastic that “community life no longer took place” - no club parties, no senior afternoons, no church festivals.
“In retrospect you can see what is missing from you and also what is required in a community.
A great deal of togetherness is missing. ”But in return, many creative ideas and support mechanisms were developed:“ That was a positive experience in the negative crisis. ”
