The Russian Belgorod submarine carrying a drone nuclear torpedo was ranked the longest submarine in the world, Forbes H.I. Sutton reported.

The classification included about 31 submarines, while the classification of the ten longest submarines in the world showed that 9 of them are Russian.

The length of the Belgorod submarine was 178 meters, which is considered a record among submarines.

The list included the two Russian submarines from the 176-meter-long and 170-meter-long Boree project, the 175-meter Akula submarine, the 167-meter-long Dolphin submarine, the 174-meter-long Podmoskovy submarine, the 166-meter-long Orenburg submarine, and other Kalmar project and the 155-meter submarines from the Antai project.

The long list also includes the Russian submarines of the Shoka projects, the Yasin Barracuda Condor, the American Virginia submarine and the British Avangard submarine of 150 meters long, followed by two Chinese submarines of 97 and 98 meters.
