A series of attacks against Iranian militias took place in the past day (Saturday) in northeastern Syria, and six pro-Iranian militia fighters were killed in one of the attacks.

According to Syrian Observers for Human Rights, Shiite militia fighters were killed in an airstrike on unidentified aircraft.

The organization claimed that these may be Israeli planes.

The rebels' local news agency, Step, claimed that it was firing surface-to-surface missiles by nearby U.S. military forces.

In another attack, near the town of Mohsan in Deir a-Zor province, pro-Iranian militia positions were hit by an airstrike and local residents reported to the rebel-affiliated media a cloud of black smoke rising from the site of the attack.

According to reports, it is not known if there were any casualties in the bombing, but apparently great damage was done to a weapons depot at the site.

In addition, unidentified planes attacked several targets in the past day in the city of Raqqa, the capital of the former ISIS terrorist organization, and according to some reports, the target was cells of pro-Iranian militias planning terrorist attacks against Kurdish organizations that control the area.
