Heavy rains in the municipality of Dabeiba, Antioquia department, in northwestern Colombia, caused the death of at least three people, the government of this department reported this Saturday.
"In Dabeiba, the municipality most affected by the rains, there were several landslides and a torrential avenue in the Dabeiba Vieja stream, affecting the villages of Button, Mohán and El Cajón," the government explained in a statement.

Although the balance for the moment is preliminary, 16 missing persons are also reported.
According to the government, several municipalities in Antioquia are affected by the rains.
From the Administrative Department of the Disaster Prevention, Attention and Recovery System (Dapard), “two commissions traveled, one by land and the other by air, headed by the director of Dapard, Jaime Enrique Gómez Zapata, to know the level of damage in the areas that have not been accessible due to landslides and in order to support the attention of the event ", the letter detailed.
