Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz announced today that a general lockdown will be imposed in the country next Tuesday in an attempt to control the number of escalating infections with the Coronavirus.
Reuters quoted Curtis as saying that "non-essential stores will be closed and the current curfew will be extended from eight in the evening until six in the morning, making staying at home all day a basic necessity with specific exceptions such as shopping for essentials or exercising."
"People should work from home whenever possible," said Curtis.
The isolation will continue for about three weeks, with the last day being the sixth of next December.
