Despite the Corona crisis, Bad Wiessee is expected to have a little Christmas spirit: Vice Mayor Birgit Trinkl suggested a mulled wine stand on Lindenplatz.

The idea was well received.

Bad Wiessee

- Lindenplatz is the living room of the Bad Wiessee community.

And if Birgit Trinkl goes, it should also spread a Christmas atmosphere during Advent.

In the most recent municipal council meeting, the Vice-Mayor (FWG) suggested setting up a hut on the square in which the local associations could alternately sell mulled wine - and in compliance with all Corona regulations.

Somehow Christmas has to take place in Bad Wiessee.

That would be at least a small alternative program to the unusual markets and events.

“Somehow Christmas has to take place in Bad Wiessee”, said Trinkl, who also rents out guest apartments and rooms in her home town.

"Otherwise that would really hurt me."

With mayor Robert Kühn (SPD), Trinkl found open ears with her concern.

Assuming the pandemic allows it, there is nothing to be said against setting up a small hut on Lindenplatz and showing that “it's Christmas”.

In the meantime, the deputy mayor has taken on the lead in organizing the project.

Associations that are interested in using the Christmas hut to sell mulled wine can report to the town hall.
