A couple of Chinese parents from the central city of Luoyang have found a "good" method to keep their two children while shopping in a busy market.

The couple installed an iron cage with bars on a blue tricycle.

The children were imprisoned inside and waited for their parents in the middle of the street.

Documentation of the horrific spectacle was uploaded to social networks in China and caused a great stir on the net.

The video shows the two frightened children holding the cage bars.

Buyers and merchants stand around them and do not relate to them.

The case provoked outrage among many Chinese surfers, who noted that it was cruelty.

One surfer wrote: "I do not understand how to do it? I would never have thought of imprisoning my children like that."

Another responded: "Only animals are imprisoned like this in a cage, obviously not done for children."

However, not all Chinese surfers saw this phenomenon as a problem.

Some of them actually thought it was a good way to keep small children while shopping in a crowded market if there was no other choice.

"It's so safe," a surfer noted.

"After all, if these children are abducted, their parents will never forgive themselves. That way the children are protected."

Either way, Chinese authorities did not comment on the video and the media storm created around it.
