Defense officials told Walla!

NEWS that every week at least one attempt is made to approach the perimeter fence on the Lebanese border, or cross it on a criminal background.

However, since the defense establishment recognizes Hezbollah's almost complete control of southern Lebanon, and its emphasis on the border, in everything related to drug deals - the possibility is not ruled out that foreign workers, shepherds and civilians who frequently cross the border into Israel do so on Hezbollah missions.

Nasrallah: Drawing maritime borders will not lead to normalization with Israel

To the full article

For more than three months, the IDF has been keeping a very high alert along the border for fear of a Hezbollah revenge attack, after the organization's secretary general Hassan Nasrallah threatened to avenge the death of a Lebanese truck driver who worked in smuggling weapons from Syria to Lebanon.

Hezbollah has tried at least twice to carry out a sniping attack against IDF soldiers: in one case at the Gladiola outpost in the Har Dov sector, the IDF decided to contain the attack and flee the terrorists by firing.

In the second case, the terrorists fired and fled, and no soldier was injured.

In the past week, a Hezbollah skimmer that penetrated Israeli territory was shot down.
