The first preparatory work has already taken place, now Holzkirchen's mayor Christoph Schmid has officially confirmed the location of the container village during the construction of the middle school.

- Now it is completely official: Mayor Christoph Schmid (CSU) has now announced to the local council where the containers will go, in which classes will take place during the new construction of the Holzkirchen Middle School.
Accordingly, the community has found a location on Baumgartenstrasse, which is about 200 meters south of the existing school.
These are two parcels with a total area of around 8,000 square meters.
Lease agreements have been concluded with the owners for a period of three years - with the option of being able to extend twice by one year each.

According to Schmid, his predecessor Olaf von Löwis (CSU) had settled the matter.
He leased the land - albeit with the backing of the local council, which had given him permission in advance to be active here.
The lease agreement was signed this spring, said Schmid in the local council.
However, it will only come into force at a later point in time when the containers are actually set up.
When that will be exactly is still open.
At the moment, the municipality expects the construction work for the new middle school to start in autumn 2021.
A corresponding building application for the interim construction will be submitted soon, the mayor announced.
"The location for the containers is good because it is close to the actual middle school and can therefore benefit from the existing infrastructure," said Schmid.
This applies to the school bus system and the use of the sports facilities, for example.
As reported, rumors about the location were already circulating after a resident observed survey work on the meadow.
Schmid wanted to inform the local council before making a public statement.
