The death toll from corona in the United States crossed 250,000 today (Saturday). 183,625 people were identified yesterday as being infected with the virus - a record since the beginning of the plague.

Experts who spoke with the Reuters news agency presented two ways to reduce the extent of the morbidity: changing the strategy led by outgoing President Trump or imposing more stringent restrictions in a coordinated manner in the various countries.

"The epidemic may be more severe than it was in the spring and the daily situation in America," said Greg Gonzalez, a professor of epidemiology at Yale University and a health activist.

"We will not go to quarantine"

At the current daily rate of deaths from the virus, according to Reuters calculations, between 70,000 and 150,000 more Americans will die by the time Biden is sworn in on January 20.

Meanwhile, President Trump spoke last night at the White House Rose Garden and addressed the effort to find a vaccine for Corona.

The president did not comment on the election results or suspicions of forgery other than the trial: "No matter what happens in the future and what kind of government there is, we will not go to quarantine."

He added: "By vaccinating high-risk people we can reduce the number of hospitalizations. We have the best testing systems in the world. We test more than any country in the world so we have more cases. This process will start immediately. Millions of doses of vaccine will enter through the door "In April, the vaccine will be available to the entire population, except for New York State where the governor has decided for political reasons to wait with the vaccine."

As you may recall, earlier this week Biden and his designated deputy Harris announced the establishment of a fighting force in Corona.

President-elect Biden also commented this week on the announcement of Pfizer's vaccine efficacy: "Vaccine approval needs to be science-based so the public can be sure of its efficacy and safety. We are still facing a difficult winter and it will take time for the vaccine to be available to the general population.
